HARDWOOD INSTALLATION, SANDING AND FINISH
S & E Flooring Installations provides accurate installation of your hardwood flooring in a timely fashion. Using the Powernail® mallet-activated pneumatic nailers and 2" staples installed at 80-100psi air pressure, be assured your wood is installed well. Guided in proper sub-floor selection and appropriate acclimation periods for your wood BEFORE installation to assure the wood will be tight, and have the least amount of expansion/contraction. Sanding is completed with a dust contained orbital sander using the UFO® attachment for smooth floors with no sanding marks* due to it's unique sunflower pattern of movement. Professional grade fillers and polyurethane are used after all sanding is complete. Some finishes have as little drying time as 3 hours per coat, and choosing a waterborne finish keeps the level of fumes and drying time to a minimum. When a color tint is requested, stain or duraseal® is applied to a floor. To round out this already top quality job, consider wood vents -- we can install them at the time of the wood or after the finish process for an added extra that's worth it! We are also quite experienced with installing prefinished hardwood and engineered laminate flooring, along with stripping and resanding existing wood floors.

CERAMIC TILE, MARBLE AND SLATE
S & E Flooring Installations has experience in many different tile types. Patterns, mosaics, decos, floors, walls, back splashes -- you name it. Using 1/2 inch Durock cement board, 1 5/8" long screws and top quality mastick assure a foundation that will help eliminate shifting and tile or grout cracking. CARPETING
Owner Scott Staeck began his flooring installation career in the carpet industry. Using high grade tackless, a knee kicker, crab stretcher and the 20+ years of experience to make your carpeted rooms look their best. Having installed for the likes of NBA basketball players and other professionals in the Chicago area, he has worked with all carpet types, and even has experience in borders, inlays, and custom stairs.
